Pacific Architectural Wood Products, a custom door manufacturer, relied heavily on paper-based workflows to manage order intake, production coordination, and fulfillment. While the craftsmanship of the organization was strong, manual processes created bottlenecks across quoting, configuration, factory floor communication, shipping, and invoicing.

As order complexity increased, paper job travelers and manual data entry slowed throughput and limited visibility across the 15 production stations. Leadership needed a way to modernize operations, reduce friction between departments, and create a scalable infrastructure capable of supporting long-term growth. The objective was clear: transition from a fragmented, paper-driven process to a fully digital, end-to-end operational system.

Solution

We designed and implemented a full-scale ERP system tailored specifically to Pacific Architectural Wood Products’ manufacturing workflow. The platform digitized the entire lifecycle—from quoting, order intake and product configuration to factory execution, shipping, and invoicing.

 

Orders entered into the system were automatically configured based on custom door specifications, generating structured production data that flowed directly to the factory floor. Tasks were dynamically assigned across 15 production stations, ensuring each team had real-time visibility into job status, specifications, and sequencing.

 

By centralizing operational data, the ERP eliminated manual handoffs and paper job travelers. Automated workflows synchronized inventory, production schedules, shipping coordination, and financial reporting—creating a unified system that connected front-office sales with back-office execution. The result was a seamless, digital manufacturing environment designed for precision, accountability, and scale.
